CBIC notified GST rate changes as recommended in 47th GST Council meeting
47th GST council meeting held on 28th and 29th June 2022 at Chandigarh in chairmanship of Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman had proposed to change GST rate on goods, now CBIC by amending the original notification for rate schedule notification no. 01/2017 CGST rate schedule central tax dated 28th June 2017 applicable with effect from 1st July 2017 changes the GST rate as recommended in GST council meeting.
CBIC issued three notifications to change GST rate under CGST Act, IGST Act and UTGST Act.
Notification No. 6/2022-Union Territory Tax (Rate) dated 13th July, 2022 issued for UTGST Act.
Notification No. 6/2022-IntergratedTax (Rate) dated 13th July 2022 issued for IGST Act, and
Notification No. 6/2022-Central Tax (Rate) dated 13th July 2022 issued for CGST Act,
