GST Council proposed to clarify GST applicability on raw cotton
50th GST council meeting was conducted on 11th July 2023, where many changes have been proposed under GST.
One of the proposals was to clarify that supply of raw cotton, including kala cotton, by agriculturists to cooperatives
The council has been decided to clarify that supply of raw cotton, including kala cotton, by agriculturists to cooperatives is taxable under reverse charge mechanism and to regularise issues relating for the past period on “as is basis”.
