Punjab Register 22% growth in tax revenue in first 10 months of FY 23-24
Due to robust demand and strict compliance Punjab register 22% increase in total tax revenue collection year on year basis.
For the period April 23 to January 24 the state has received tax revenue of Rs.53617 crore which is 22% higher as compared to same period of previous year April 22 to January 23 which was Rs.44175 crore
The growth is primarily due to improved goods and services tax, sales tax, and excise collections as well as the state’s share of central taxes, which together account for approximately 84% of the tax revenue of Punjab
Similarly GST Collection jumps 16% Rs.17295 crore for first 10 months of FY 2023-24 as compared same previous period April 22 to Jan 23 Its was Rs.14989.50 crore
