CBIC approved due date extension for filing GSTR3B for one day from 20th October, 2022 to 21st October 2022
As per recent tweet from CBIC, it’s updated; The GST Implementation Committee of GST Council has approved extension of the due date of filing GSTR-3B return for the month of September 2022, for the monthly filers, from 20th October, 2022 to 21st October 2022. The notification in this regard is under process.
Taxpayer’s and professionals are not happy with these extension as due date have been extended by one day from 20th to 21st October and that too update has come in middle of the day on 21st October 2022 which is extended date and official notification is yet to come.
CBIC in its update talk about one day extension for monthly filer's which was due on 20th October 2022, however the taxpayer who are under QRMP and filer quarterly returns, those returns also due on 22nd & 24th October which fall on Diwali festival.
In these festive season people are quite busier than other usual day so there should be an enough extension in time specially when Return filing delayed due to the portal glitches.
